What’s New at The Shores in 2026?

Exciting New Updates at The Shores on Lake Ida for This Season

A new season at The Shores on Lake Ida means fresh updates, thoughtful improvements, and even more ways for families to relax, reconnect, and make lifelong memories at the lake! Over the offseason, we’ve been hard at work making enhancements across the resort, and we’re so excited to finally share everything that’s new this year!

Mastercraft & Chris-Craft

Guests staying in the Mastercraft Cabin and the Chris-Craft Cabin will notice brand new deck railings for refreshed outdoor spaces and lake views, fresh landscaping, updated décor and beautiful new quilts to create an even cozier cabin feel.

The Lodge

The Lodge also received a refresh with new décor throughout the space, a brand new refrigerator, a new oven for easier family meals and gatherings, and new landscaping leading up to the front door.

Dockside Dwelling & Captain’s Cove

These cabins received fresh exterior paint, giving them an updated, clean lakeside look for the new season. We are hoping that the colors are fun, yet keep the vintage feel of the 1950’s cabins.

Welcoming Our Newest Rental Unit: The Black Pearl

One of the biggest additions this year is our brand new rental unit — The Black Pearl. We cannot wait for guests to experience this newest stay at the resort. Thoughtfully chosen with separate sleeping spaces and lots of lakeside windows, The Black Pearl is already becoming an exciting new part of The Shores experience.

Resort-Wide Improvements

We also made several updates around the property to improve both the guest experience and the beauty of the resort grounds. We’ve added fresh landscaping throughout the resort to add even more charm and curb appeal as guests arrive and explore the property. We have added new picnic tables around the resort to create more comfortable gathering spaces for outdoor meals, games, and evenings by the lake. Updated signage around the property helps guests navigate the resort more easily while adding to the overall look and feel of The Shores.

A More Sustainable Stay

This year, we also made the switch from disposable plastic soap bottles to reusable glass soap dispensers in our cabins. It’s a small change that helps reduce waste while still providing guests with convenient, high-quality amenities during their stay.

Stop Into The Shore Shop

The Shore Shop is stocked with new merchandise this season! Whether you’re looking for apparel, lake souvenirs, gifts, or something fun to remember your vacation, be sure to stop in and browse everything that’s new.

We Can’t Wait to Welcome You Back

Every improvement we make is centered around creating the best possible experience for our guests while preserving the relaxing, family-focused atmosphere that makes The Shores on Lake Ida special. We’re incredibly excited for another summer of fishing trips, beach days, campfires, sunsets, and unforgettable family memories — and we can’t wait to welcome you back to experience all that’s new this season!

See you at the lake!
